An immersive, open-world RP combat experience for NieR and FFXIV fans alike. Curated and run by Popola Hyacinth from Seafront Village Library. Hosted out of Dynamis, Halicarnassus.

about the event

Attack on Seafront is an immersive RP setting that echoes the parallels of the NieR Replicant v.1.22.. fight of the boss with the same name, however, translated into the realm of FFXIV.During the skirmish, volunteers and the event owner, Popola Hyacinth, will recreate the same harrowing fight alongside actors of Brother Nier, Kaine, and Emil. Guests are encouraged to fight alongside them following a certain set of rules. (Please see the about section for full rules & details.) Though it’s in the best interest to RSVP to the event on the Seafront Village Library Discord, it is not required to attend.Once slain, guests will be invited back to the Library to celebrate and discuss the battle if they so choose. The Library's affiliated venues will provide weapon repairs, refreshments, and more.The event itself is inspired by several other overworld RP events, and in turn, Popola wanted to run one herself to give back to her rapidly growing community. Though not shying away from going to open-world events, Popola decided to take a leap and run her own and wanted to do something unique for her unique venue.We hope you enjoy it as much as we're having fun making it.Misc. Leave /shout and /yell for performers and Staff. Members marked with the Looking to Meld (LTM) tag are STAFF. Members with Looking for Party (LFP) are CONTRACTED PERFORMERS. Please use the roleplaying tag for player use.We do ask you to remain in character for the entirety of the event. OOC breaks are accepted, but please make it known you're OOC. This is a space for RP, however our non-RP guests are just as welcome to enjoy the show as the rest of us!

how can you participate?

Combat & InteractionsCombat will be in a traditional Death Roll "DR" style, where each person rolls out of 999 (/random 999) to make a hit on Louise in whatever DoW/DoM class of their choosing. Blue Mage is accepted, as this is an RP Fight. Please allow response time from the user roleplaying as Louise to mark down her health. You will be aware of your next turn once Louise (or Popola) gives the okay to hit again. Louise has an unspecified HP bar that is only known to the staff on hand.A "miss" hit is anything under 400. Once you've "missed", you can no longer roll for that turn. This is to prevent spam on top of everyone else and to keep steady numbers for the staff to keep track of. The use of overworld spells and actions is very much encouraged! You will be directed on whom to target as "Louise" during the debriefing at Brewer's Beacon.If your WoL/OC is not a DoW/DoM, you're more than free to either cheer on the fighters/NieR roleplayers, roleplay how they'd react if a massive Kraken-like beast rose out of the Aleport docks as described. You can roleplay amongst yourselves or even take a seat back to watch the action! We do ask you not to disrupt those who are involved in the combat roleplay for the sake of not only staff and performers, but also for those around wanting to watch the performance. This is one large stage play; please don't disrupt the show if possible.Post-Combat
After the show is over and the Shade dispelled, please stand by as the actors wrap up their final moments, as yes, there may be "after credits" scenes! Popola and possibly other staff will direct you to where you'll be heading next, whether it be back to the event Library plot. This will also be announced in the Discord before the fight for those looking there for information.When at the new, and final, location, feel free to mingle around the venue with your peers and converse about the event at hand, however your WoL/OC would. Staff and volunteers will direct you where to go and what services are available to guests. When in doubt, please reach out to Popola Hyacinth if you're not sure where to be. Feel free to talk to the actors as well after the show if they stick around for the Afterparty, and enjoy our lovely array of BGM by the set of bards for post show entertainment!We also will have an IRL fundraiser we'll be running at the same time as the event, you are not forced to donate to attend! It's just a way to give back to the oceans in which the Library considers home.

volunteer & venue aid

We're currently looking to fill any of the above roles; however, we're always on the lookout for any kind of aide not listed! If interested, please reach out through Discord DM's (ofthefallensun), through the Seafront Village Library Discord server or our Dyno form (linked in the tabs below). Submissions after November aren't promised to be accepted. Any submissions after April 18, 2026 will NOT be accepted.

  • Actors & Roleplayers: We're looking to fill the roles of Brother Nier, Grimoire Weiss, Emil, and Louise. We do ask that you have an understanding and awareness of the characters at hand, preferably including the fight itself. Knowing this is a monumental task, training and resources and training are available for interested parties. This is a role for dedicated roleplayers who live, breathe and sleep RP and aren't afraid of the stage. You're the life that Attack on Seafront thrives on, don't be afraid to give it your all. (Due to the nature of these roles, compensation can be discussed depending on role taken.)

  • Staff, we wish you to have a passion for RP and events like this to have fun first and foremost. You don't need experience running an event like this, or even doing events in general. We need dedicated folks to help keep things running smoothly both on and off "stage". Whether it's making sure the bards are sounding well from the wings, helping manage /random rolls and managing the crowds throughout the night.

  • Vendors, we're looking for those who don't fall into venue territory but still would like to service their wares at the event! Whether it be weapons, food, trinkets, camping supplies, whatever it may be! Though no matter how near or far your good may come from, you have room both inside and outside the final plot giving you as much room and freedom as you'd like. We ask you to reach out sooner than later, as space is very limited, but as long as the vended item is SFW it can be discussed!

  • Affiliates, we do ask that you be an immersive RP venue first and foremost. This includes your staff as well. Cafe/Restaurants, Theater companies, Non-Gamba DR venues (Yes! Even you, fight clubs!) are very heavily encouraged to apply for this event. You're more than open to partnering with us for this event and then leaving if you so choose.
